ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great surprise that Mayer's Bakery will no longer be under the management of Mike Stasny and Maggie Ginestra.

We thank everyone for the help and support while exploring this venture. All money donated at Bar Building events will in turn be donated to a few key evolving enterprises we've been inspired by in South City.

We really believe in the Mayer's Bakery space and hope that our work to activate it will now become an invitation to a like-minded individual or group.  Its historical beauty and recent outfitting as a show-ready gallery combine as an example of St. Louis opportunity at its best.  If you are interested in this opportunity, or know someone who might be, please contact us with haste.  Ideally, Mayer's Bakery will not spend an empty moment, and it is available for re-vision April 1st.

Here are the photos of our event on February 2nd taken by Ann K. Hubbard.

Highest Regards,

Mike & Maggie

BAR BUILDING 2: The Unemployment Ball on Groundhog's Night

Come celebrate Mike Stasny, Missouri's newest dislocated worker, and all who have come before him. Spend an evening wearing everything expensive you own and formally entertain your friends with the cheapest jokes you know.

We will have for you:
-sponsored PBR, directly from our sponsor, PBR
-Drink Think #2: Dirties, a small martini menu
-Hors D'oeuvre Plates by Moonlight Farm
-Funk Inc., DJ Boogieman/DJ Invisible Cola
-and a new art installation for you to look formal in front of (composed of disregarded office supplies from Mike Stasny's former employer, USA3000 Airlines).

Drink, sweat, and look fancy.

FITZ'S EXPERIMENT #2

We had 5 inspectors stop by today because we are starting to pursue our occupancy permit.

Some hilarious advice to fellow occupancy-seekers: have some Fitz in your fridge.  The one inspector we remembered to offer Fitz's rootbeer approved us on the spot.

Much more news on this to come.  The "violations" are in the mail, our shiny new to-do list.  We'll show you on February 2nd, when you come over.
